In April, we look forward to beautiful spring weather and gathering with loved ones. As you plan your Passover and Easter celebrations, we encourage you to experiment with table designs to step beyond the classic. Look to the wonderful natural elements of spring to create modern, yet traditional table settings. Mixing modern with vintage creates a colorful and eye-catching memorable place setting to host this season.
All in the Details
Our bold spring color palette is achieved by mixing various vintage dishware and trinkets. A mix of lime Niverville France green scalloped chargers, Minton floral gold-rimmed dinner plates, and hand painted PV Italy tulip salad plates creates a lush base for our tablescape. Modern olivewood Laguiole flatware, and linen napkins in coordinating colors tie things together. A flock of vintage Herend birds add the perfect touch of whimsy.
We mixed hand copper-leafed brown eggs with black and white painted eggs for a modern touch, nestled in a bed of moss in a pink Italian vessel.
Beyond Floral
In this design, we created lush centerpieces with organic leafy seasonal vegetables. Clear glass vessels lined with carrots and parsnips with bushy stems creates a beautiful focal point for our design. Vibrant beets and detailed Swiss chards in glass are also featured as additional eye-catching table décor. Double hybrid tulips arranged in a vintage Italian tulipiere creates another fresh element, and accents well with the leafy vegetables. Beeswax candles nestled in vintage Royal Copenhagen candlestick holders also add to the overall design.
Keep in mind the basic elements of scale, color and contrast when designing this Spring. Use all of your five senses, and you’re guaranteed to create a stunning and memorable table.
