Well hello, friends! How quickly the calendar is opening into 2024; unfolding in new and surprising ways here at fleurdetroit. As an avid birder, when I think about spring, I naturally think bird migrations back to our beautiful northern state. The influx of these feathered beauties is comparable to the influx of objet and flora in our showrooms. Spring is the season of welcomed surprises.

Like the evolution of the calendar across a season, our campus is shimmying and shaking, reflecting our evolving visions on design for the house and garden. With many of our standard old loves, newness and trend are also popping forth in the growth. We spend countless hours and many miles on the road collecting and curating these objects for your pleasure.

One such migration this season is our flock of Chinese (porcelain) parrots. Have you met our flock yet?! Over the course of several years, Joe has collected the oldest and best examples of Chinese roof tiles. Our personal flock of nearly 50 specimens have slowly begun to fly to the showrooms at fleurdetroit. These Chinese folk pieces add such charm to any interior and give a sense of a collected and travelled space. Joe has been an astute collector, purchasing the very best examples for your consideration.
