I know many of you can relate to this next statement… my mind is buzzing at the thought. Like a sprinter in an Olympic race, I have managed to bolt around the sun fifty times and haven’t realized until now how fast they have come and gone. Some I have noticed between life and building the businesses, and others I hardly remember. Although many, the years have fluttered by—and what a ride it has been. Fortunately, with a slower, more relished approach to everything these days, I look forward to what each November brings. With that, here we go—help me welcome November 2025 as a fifty-year-old!

Before dashing into the November tell-all, I want to give a huge round of applause to the Michigan Humane family and all the work they do every year to safeguard the lives of many stray and wayward animals. In October, they held their gala, which raised a record amount of funds for furry friends. Joe and I, personally and as a company, fully support their mission and are proud to be a small component that led to such a successful fundraising year. Matt Pepper and our wonderful liaison, Jaime Westric, are beyond dynamic and passionate. We encourage all to take time to explore Michigan Humane and the mission they uphold in our communities.

Now for November in the shoppe! fleurdetroit welcomes the start of holiday preparations and festivities this month. At the head of the month is our annual Holiday Open House, followed by seasonal workshops throughout. Further information about workshops can be found on our website.
