Longer sunny days call for dinner parties, and dinner parties call for a well-curated table. This month we were inspired by all things ‘New England coastal’ and created the most fun and refreshing tablescape. We are featuring stacks of vintage dishes in shades of blue mixed with serve ware in modern whites and a touch of seashell to stay on theme.
Create an Atmosphere
When deciding on an aesthetic for your dinner party, think about all the elements that will help create an atmosphere. A lobster bake is a true family-style experience. We made sure our crustaceans and all its accoutrements had the perfect vessels for serving. A mix of modern and vintage vessels for seasonings and accompaniments help tie our overall look together. A seafood utensil set by Orban & Sons is not only practical but aesthetically pleasing. Vintage platters with seashell motifs add all the fun to complete this look.
Shades of Blue
For this look we included all shades of blue. Our slate blue and white linen with fringe detail creates the perfect base for our outdoor tablescape. Our vintage plate ware includes LeClair Limoges indigo blue charger plates, white Rosenthal dinner plates and cerulean blue and white Stangl sponge plates. Atelier Bernard French Faience Aptware stone blue marbleized candlesticks add another layer of blue to this dinner party look. Finished with a baby blue textured linen napkin, this table is truly inspired by sea and sky.
Time to Celebrate
No matter the occasion, a fun and stylish themed dinner party is sure to bring joy to you and your guests. Find the perfect location, gather your table settings, finalize the menu, and invite over your favorites for a beautiful evening in the sun. Enjoy making a pretty mess!
