March shall never be taken for face value by this gent, despite those dreary wet days trying so hard to veil the harbingers of spring, the tiniest of hope will burst forth at the woods edge.  March, the dual personality month, cannot decide what the barometer will read daily. Fortunately, If one is lucky enough to stumble upon a grand old patch of bloodroot in the wood, one would know that spring is so close at hand.  Like us all, these little gems can hardly wait for the last throws of slushy snowfall to be over to fully welcome the dawn of the new season in Michigan.
