Recently, we had the honor of hosting the Kenilworth Garden Club to Phillip's private garden, Stratton House, as well as to fleurdetroit. Founded in 1915, the Kenilworth Garden Club (KGC) is a historic Chicago-area civic organization based in Kenilworth, Illinois. A prominent member of the Garden Club of America since 1923, the KGC focuses on floral design, horticulture, environmental conservation, and local community outreach through philanthropy, education, and garden maintenance.
KGC's Detroit tour included: visits to Oudolf Garden Detroit, Cranbrook Gardens, GP War Memorial garden, as well as a few other private garden tours. The group's fleurdetroit visit included a floral demo by Laura Daluga AIFD. Laura demonsted two different floral looks, one very traditional and one more playful using the same floral elements.
