Well Mr. Twain, I do agree that typically the bloom of youth is favorable, however, a Kafkian reference to a beetle is frightful to say the least! There is a season for all things and in June we celebrate youth and new, unbridled growth everywhere.

On May mornings, just prior to the crisp air giving way to the sun’s touch, new life stirs. The spring season is assuredly in full swing. This year we have been lucky to have a paragon of blooming trees, free from the bite of frost or shredding from aggressive rain, and all fully laden with the scents of heaven. This May we can celebrate perfection if perfection could possibly exist.

Spring ushers in flocks of new inspiration, as well as an overall sense of rejuvenation. Our recent spring store set centers on new and vintage merchandise, all with exciting stories to tell. If you've visited our shoppe, you see our love for ornithology. Birds have a heavy presence throughout our space, as Phillip and Joe are fond of collecting them.

Well hello, friends! How quickly the calendar is opening into 2024; unfolding in new and surprising ways here at fleurdetroit. As an avid birder, when I think about spring, I naturally think bird migrations back to our beautiful northern state. The influx of these feathered beauties is comparable to the influx of objet and flora in our showrooms. Spring is the season of welcomed surprises.
