The winter months are all about early nights and cozying up with a good book. Take a deep dive into the world of plants with our favorite botanical resources—from a detailed overview of plant species to houseplant care and maintenance to designing with plants—this collection has something for every level of plant enthusiast.

“Here we go!”, as Darin often proclaims when we are about to embark on a new project, event, or situation… A New Year certainly deserves this verbal exclamation! Here we go, 2023!

From the ancient druids to the early Romans to the modern family home – decking the halls with evergreen boughs helps us brighten the darkest time of year. Cut evergreens literally and figuratively bring a bit of spring and life to contrast the cold, dark, snowy weather.

Holiday decor should accent what's already there - no need to put away your favorite pieces, just work with them. Follow along for a peek into co-owners of fleurdetroit, Phillip Morici and Joe Neiradka's home for the holidays.

For the fleurdetroit retail crew, the buzz of the holiday season begins with a low murmur in June when most of the holiday décor arrives in the warehouses—far removed from the natural order of things, now at a feverish pitch!

Each year our team comes together the last Sunday of October, one week prior to the annual Holiday Open House, to flip the entire shoppe to holiday store sets. The warehouse team has been receiving and processing the holiday merchandise for months leading up to this point, and on set up day, the glitter and organized chaos comes to life—with the help of lots of caffeine, of course!

(My fellow Scorpio girlfriend) Marie Antoinette and I invite you to our over-the-top, extravagant, excessively posh Holiday Open House this coming weekend! Holiday decadence is in the air. After years of famous holiday fêtes and décor sales, this year will go down in history! Our devilishly talented elves and design mavens have transformed fleurdetroit into a winter wonderland fit for a czar … or Bergdorf’s nonetheless. We look forward to sharing the magic this weekend!

If you’re planning on hosting this season, an impactful centerpiece is sure to elevate your tablescape. Keeping on trend, we love a tonal moment—muted neutrals in shades of creams, beiges and browns for an elegant look.

Tis the season of pumpkins and ghosts! Halloween is such a fun holiday for decorating. Whether your go-to Halloween style is ultra-gory and creepy or classically cute, incorporating touches of the spooky season into your decor is always so much fun.

While we're enjoying the cooler temperatures of fall, plants are as well. Fall is an excellent time to plant pansies, bulbs, and woody ornamentals.

As the leaves begin to change, and the weather starts to cool, we transition our warm and sunny décor to a more neutral and natural palette. Using seasonal décor mixed with vintage fine china, we’ve created an early autumnal natural table that truly sets the tone for the upcoming season.

Our summer floral collection is full of bright, bold color and an overall cheery aesthetic. There are four different designs, in varying sizes perfect for any occasion from birthday gifts, to anniversary, to ‘just because.’
