As we dodge Cupid’s arrows and layer up to keep warm, we continue to build out and remodel our floral and interiors showrooms. This February brings aesthetic changes to our fleurdetroit campus once again, as we continue to grow and evolve in design. We look forward to unveiling many new treasures in the new spaces.

A winter dinner party is the perfect time to introduce a timeless dishware collection like the Ginori Oriente Italiano collection—a true example of a modern Renaissance aesthetic.

The winter solstice ushered in a wave of warm weather. The upper 50-degree weather breached the 60-degree mark briefly, long enough to soak in the springlike vibes on one of my many garden walks that week. The cardinals and chickadees danced in the branches, as they too knew, this anomaly of temperature was a gift before the winter slumber sets in. 

Displays of lush cut greenery bundles for sale are a true marking point of the arrival of the winter season. Their fragrance alone awakens your senses and transports you to a crisp winter day.

The holiday season is upon us, and it's time to deck the halls and infuse your home with the warmth of tradition and the spirit of celebration. One of our favorite traditions are German Christmas smokers.

Ziggy Stardust could very well be reincarnated as the Callicarpa americana, and is in the November landscape, proving that the seventies never died in the garden. One of the most inconspicuous green summer shrubs turns into a 1970s star come late October and into November. I am referencing the purple beautyberry.

Cider mills and the sweet smells of autumn are steeping future memories within all Northerners. For city folk and suburban dwellers, a Sunday drive down a country road, during peak color, can take away the stressful noise of the week.
